Topological and Algorithmic Field Theory of Data: a Program

During the coordination of the EU-FET Project, TOPDRIM (topology driven methods for complex systems), I collaborate in proposing a program aiming to construct an innovative methodology to perform data analytics that provides a paradigm of data mining not rooted in the notions of Complex Networks and Machine Learning, but in the simpleces and Field Theory of Data to returns an automaton as a recognizer of the data language.

A verbatim with no formula description of the program can be found in a paper published at The Topological Field Theory of Data: a program towards a novel strategy for mining data through data language , J. Physiscs: Conf. Series 626 (2015) and a more detailas is provided in a book chapter published at The Topological Field Theory of Data: mining data beyond complex networks , in Advances in Disordered Systems, Random Processes and Some Applications, eds P. Contucci, C. Giardina', Cambridge University Press (2016) .

A sketch of the TFTD program has been presented at the Open Problems in Concurrency Theory 2017 Workshop; glace at the slides.

The algorithm aspect of the theory together with and idea of Topological Turing machine is provided in a paper dedicated to Scott Smolka, in printing at LNCS, whose draft is available in ArXiv.
